Purpose of the job:
Diverse role with responsibility of performing professional accounting tasks, such as recording, classifying, and analysing of financial transactions in accordance with accounting regulations and company's guidelines and procedures.
Accountant is responsible for leading the Accounting processes that include, but not limited to, accounts payable, accounts receivable and asset accounting.
Responsibility for accuracy, timelines and the general integrity of the accounting function and related reports.
Local stakeholder of Global Business Services team.

Area of responsibility:

  • Assures that accounting records are prepared and maintained in accordance with the companys accounting policies, chart of accounts and related accounting principles and practices as well as according to local legislation.
  • Assures financial accounting is organized in an effective, up to date and accurate manner, operations are booked appropriately in ERP system.
  • Coordinates and works closely with the relevant Global Business Services team, based in Europe.
  • Performs accruals based accounting of day-to-day operations of sales, expenses and assets, assures required allocations are done following management accounting guidelines.
  • Responsible of timely, accurate and correct organization of tax accounting, in close cooperation with the Global Business Service team, in accordance with the requirements of local laws and sticking strictly to the defined deadlines; ensuring the correct accounting of tax obligations, reflecting them in the company's accounting systems.
  • Organizes month-end and year-end closing processes in a standardized way applying internal control procedures and best practices.
  • Coordinates local payroll calculation process with the external service company; is in charge of all employment related statutory reports.
  • In charge of local treasury management in cooperation with Global Business Services team.
  • Ensures accounting records correspond to internal requirements of purchasing process, acts as back-up purchasing person to maintain compliance to companys purchasing policy.
  • Manages local personnel administration (e.g., job agreements, amendments, orders).
  • Productively uses internal companys systems and applications, creates, and maintains master data, acts as a key user when required.
  • Submission of the documentation, timely communication with the accounting service outsourcing company. Ensuring of the efficiency and 4-eyes principles of the accounting processes.
  • Communicates with local state authorities for all fiscal, labour and other required matters, submits all required tax declarations to relevant state institutions.
  • Performs archiving function into an orderly manner following local legislation and internal company records retention schedules.
  • Acts as single country contact for accounting colleagues in the region.

Requirements:

  • University degree in Finance and/or Economics
  • Minimum 3 years in a position of Accountant
  • Preferably 3 years of pharmaceutical experience in a multinational company financial environment
  • SAP experience active working with SAP in the last employment
  • Practical knowledge and experience in local taxes (VAT, CIT etc.)
  • High ethical standards and strict compliance to internal and external regulations is essential
  • Excellent communication skills (local language, English-fluent)
  • Planning, organizing & prioritization

  • Proactive and professional customer service attitude
